Help us capture a single moment in time around the world!
Revelation is conducting a study to demonstrate the possibilities of
online qualitative research. “A Moment in Time” will dramatically
show how the technology behind Web 2.0 has erased one of the
fundamental limitations of qualitative market research. Traditionally,
researchers have had limited, unsustainable access to respondent
experiences: a few hours in a focus group where each participant
contributes a few minutes or an ethnography where researchers spend a
few hours with respondents. Now, the technology that underlies the Web
2.0 phenomenon has changed the game – enabling researchers to access
human experiences on an unprecedented scale. We now have the ability
to be everywhere at once.
A Moment in Time will demonstrate this by capturing a single moment
all over the world from as many different places and perspectives
possible.
UTC is a fixed time code that is used by computers. At 16:00 UTC (see
what 16:00 UTC for you below) on November 8 (or November 9 depending
on where you are), participants in the project will be asked to take a
single photo of what they are doing at the moment and post that photo
with a description on the Moment in Time project site. Participants
will be able to see others’ moments as well.
